Doesn't fit in the holder well. I am unaware of the timer features but it does cheer this MN girl up on gloomy winter daysThe lamp itself seems to work just fine, but the wooden stand that it comes with isn't wide enough to actually hold the lamp. Guess I'll just have to hold the awkward rectangle of light?So this appeal to me because it is a nice sized light therapy light with an attractive wooden stand that would fit into my decor. However, the stand does not fit. It is winter and extremely dry weather....so it cannot be blamed on expansion of the wood. The light needs to stand at an angle so you cannot simply set it on the table without the stand. With much force and strength and very gentle coaxing (which is tough with a light) I was able to get it pushed just enough into the stand to be able to test it out. I have had light therapy lights before and for that purpose this seems very effective. I have only had it on for an hour at this point and can already tell the light is working for treatment of SAD. But I am extremely disappointed that the stand does not fit.Two things: the groove in the wooden holder isn't really big enough to get htis light into easily; I have to wiggle and wedge it in there every time. And I wish the cord was a bit longer. But overall it does the job.Update: I don't really have any great windows in my house for plants but I hit on the idea to use this light on my succulents for a couple hours at a time, and I gotta say, my plants are really loving it. I wasn't really using it for myself much because with the short cord and awkward holder there's just no good place to sit it where I need it, but it's somewhat redeemed itself now. And it's way better looking than most of the actual "plant grow lights" on here.This light has made it so I can tolerate these long months of winter. The benefits from having this at my desk at work have been progressively awesome. I find that the gloomy long days turn in to a delightful sunny day. This light is easy to use and actually works!! I am one happier camper when this is on!With so many choices for a light therapy lamp, I chose this one because of the slim design so I could fit it on my small desk or night table. It is just the right size, stylish, and more importantly, effective. I turn it on for 20 minutes in the morning while I read my emails and drink my coffee and I feel much perkier and uplifted than before. The sun doesn't come up for an hour after I wake up and most days it is cloudy and gloomy. I used to have a hard time getting up and going but now I have more energy and a better attitude. I recommend this product for anyone who feels down on dark days.First let me say, the item I received, the pets were ill-fitting. Like I got the kit from the poor tooled batch! The screen was scratched badly, as if someone had tried to clean it well with a wire cleaning pad. The only reason I’m keeping is it’s cheap. I see from the reviews this mode dies after two years, so I’ll dump it and get something worth more money.Lamp is good, but it doesn't fit in the wood base.Très beau par contre je ne ressens pas les effets encore je le prends depuis 2 semainesI like the minimalist look and the dimmer but it doesn't fit in its stand.
