I think without pouring cement over a hole where the sticks are, the set of Elevens String Light Pole - A Set of 2, Patio Light Poles with Arc Shaped Hooks, (Black) is not study enough for our windy weather. The polls have to be inserted pretty deep, and I had trouble with the hard soil area. It is $120 for a set of two, which is a little bit pricey at $60 a pool. I like that the pole can be used for other purposes as well.The first thing to know is you definitely have to have multiple sets of these to hold up a set of lights. I was hoping with the two ends attached to the house that I would only need two. They won’t hold the weight. The pieces come apart and you have to screw them together. One piece the threads were stripped and it would not stay together. We had to glue them to get it to stay. Once we finally got it all assembled it did a nice job, but I had to have 2 sets of poles to hold 1set of lights.I'm not sure what I was expecting but these poles are stout and heavy. They take a bit of assembly and I'm not going to lie, the instructions were a bit of a head scratcher but didn't take too long to figure out. We've had several rain and wind storms and those poles don't move. Great quality.I like the design a lot. With this set. you can run 3 different sets of string lights or cables. Most string light sets you can only hang one wire unless you use zip tie cables to together.For our lighting project I need another set and plan on purchasing another set when it's time to complete that project.Setup is easy. You need a box end wrench and the provided wrench to tight down the spikes and top hooks. It took me about 10 minutes to setup the poles.In the ground they are sturdy. I would suggest installing them when the ground is dry but not to packed.
